Hi,
I am interested to hear from some Project managers within the group on their thoughts of the PMI-ACP qualification, and their real world experience with Agile Project management.
Currently I am in a technical IT role, looking after a number of Core System Servers and applications for the company. I have expressed a desire to have a more broader focus in my career and gain more project management experience.
Last year I completed Prince2 Training, and pasted the Foundation, and Practitioner exams. I have found these quite useful for my projects this year, however I am keen on expanding on the Prince2 Training and learning more of the Agile methods ( As these seem to be more IT focused )
I am keen on listening to others within the Manager-Tools group on their real world experience with Agile, Prince2 and if anyone has done the PMI-ACP exam (That would be a bonus!!)
Cheers,
A Kiwi – looking to learn more and fly !

Don't Limit Yourself to the PMI World ...
A Kiwi,
I'm guessing you are from New Zealand?
In addition to investigating the PMI-ACP, you might want to also read up on the Cert APM.
See this article by Kevin Aguanno (Canada) at the PM World Journal library:

The "mother" domain is for PM World Journal ( http://pmworldjournal.net/ ), a most excellent, unbiased resource for all things related to project management.

Thanks for your feedback RoMaJo
Thanks for your feedback RoMaJo,
I was not aware of the pm world jornal site ... it has been interesting reading.
The APM exam is not quite what im after, as I am a team member rather than a project manager - so I am able to use my team member experiance towards the Agile hours, rather than the Project Management hours required for the APM exam.
Many Thanks again, I have now added pm world to my RSS feed !
( and yes .. I am a NZ'er ! )
