Very sad - I think his book has touched a lot of people

Yes, I was very much influenced by his book which I read back in the 80's. I find myself quoting him several times a month, ("Start with the end in mind. Seek first to understand, then be understood.") I also try to design my projects so that we can spend as much time as possible in quadrant II. Now that I think about it, it's probably the single most influential book on success that I've ever read.
Of course, I don't worship him like I do Drucker:-)

I'm very sad - Stephen Covey was the reason why I got interested in time and project management in the first place ...

He will be missed.  A great idea that has changed the lives of billions, I'd say.
RIP.
