Podcasts won't download to apple devices since "big to small meeting agendas" came out

Manager Tools podcasts will not go to the point where you can tap download since this last cast came out. This is regardless of whether I'm on my iPad or iPhone (two different iPhones even). No problem with Career Tools latest cast. Can't even listen to the cast in stream mode as the "page" just hangs. As an additional datapoint, I noticed there are now older casts listed on the download page. In the past there were only 60 casts listed. Now there are well over 100.

Would love to help! I need some help though.

When you say they won't download, what do you mean? Do you mean downloading via iTunes on your computer or something else? What do you mean by "stream mode"?

 Hi Mike,
This is downloading to my iPad or iPhone. Tried again this AM same result. Able to download from other podcasts (grantland) but Manager Tools page just hangs. By stream mode I mean play vs download for later.

Thanks
Gary

 Hi Mike,
After leaving the Manager Tool podcast iTunes page open on one of my devices for 10-15 minutes, the casts were available to download. Not sure if this is because it needs to download all of the basic information about the additional casts or what. This was on wifi as well. Might be something others experience downloading directly to their Apple devices.
Thanks
Gar
PS - thanks for sharing these podcasts and doing what you and Mark do. Really believe these have translated into breakthroughs in my career (46 yo IT manager).

 Gary,
Yep, I found the same thing ... literally it can take up to 4 minutes for the feeds to be populated.  Grrrrr ...
Wendii did some great research and found that this problem is not limited to Manager Tools and is a know iTunes (iPhone version) problem.  Apple engineers have been able to recreate and the problem and are working on a fix.  They have not published a date by which they expect to issue the fix in a new release.
Interestingly enough, the bug has to do with the amount of music one has on the device.  Loading the feed on a brand new phone with no music works blindingly fast.  Go figure.  You can read more about the problem on the Apple Support Forums (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3943101?start=150&tstart=0)
Sorry we don't have a fix right away ... the good news is that we should see one from Apple in the (not too distant?) future.

 Hi Mike and Wendii
Thanks for the followup! Also glad I waited for it to load as I loaded my iPhone with about 40 casts I hadn't listened to yet.
I will watch for the Apple fix.

Hi,
Looking at the  Apple forum, the issue is with iTunes Match and not the amount of music on the device. Turn off iTunes Match and downloading Podcasts works like a charm.
Thanks again for everything.
Gary
