Want to start O3s with my new team, but am worried about pushback for billable time, both from my directs and my boss.
How have folks addressed doing O3s with directs when they may not be project focused, meaning I'm their line supervisor but not project manager on their billable work.
How about the 10 x 30 minutes = 5 hours of my time and justifying that to my boss when I'm supposed to be billable??

O3's
I'd love to hear what others think on this point. I have been doing O3's for the last 18months. I started doing them weekly but my boss said I was not allowed the time off the "billable" work. So now I am doing them monthly. I know this is not frequent enough but....
Make it Billable
Wow - that is an interesting challenge. I recommend you write a proposal on the benefits of increased output by improved communication via O3's. If you make the pitch correctly (pre-wire) then you could show your managers how to generate the same revenue from your clients without increasing the length of the project or the assignment.
Better relationships, clearer instructions, who does what by when, means more people meeting their tasks on time.
If you get great results, you'll be training everyone on how you did it.
Good luck

Bottom line: do weekly
Bottom line: do weekly O3s, be more effective; don't do weekly O3s, be less effective

Thanks for the Feedback
Am rolling them out biweekly for a 2 month trial period. We'll see how it goes!
