Anyone have recommendations (pro or con) regarding “The Hard Truth about Soft Skills” by Peggy Klaus? I stumbled across it while preparing for coaching a direct who has an unusual definition of “soft skills”.

I don't know this book but I have another of her books "Brag! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn without Blowing it." It was recommended to me and I've since bought it for my team. So I'd be inclined to buy the new one if it seems on topic. Like Manager Tools, she gave specific things you can do and ways to practice.

OK, I finished it. It was an easy read and I recommend it. Practical, specific advice split 50-50 between things to do and things not to do. Also contains many examples of things done properly and some that go horribly awry.

I learned a lot and will definitely recommend it to my direct.
