Karthik-

Thank you sir! Thanksgiving is my second favorite American holiday, for a couple of reasons:

1. Abraham Lincoln started it, and he was our greatest President.
2. I like cold turkey sandwiches.
3. No presents, just family.

Please do share with us some of the Indian holidays...we Americans could use some help there.

We are SO LUCKY to be able to do this for you all. When we get thanks like yours, I want to stay up all night to help anyone who needs it.

Even on a Saturday of a holiday weekend!

It's only work if you'd rather be doing something else.

Mark

I believe Diwali just passed. I don't know much of it other than being an Indian festival of lights. (thank you, corporate diversity team)

Mark,
Many thanks.

The list of Holidays in India is exhaustive, where I work we have 11 days of festive holidays a year. Thats a good 3 or 4 days more on an average, I guess than other parts of the world.

The list of government holidays is below.

Here is the list of Festivals in India that occurs on monthly calendar basis.

We are very thankful to you and Mike for taking time to meet our exhausting demands. We appreciate that.
Take care
Regards
Karthik.

Karthik, Mark, Mike, and all my fellow M-T'ers,

Not only is Thanksgiving a harvest festival, but it is a time for reflection and, well, giving thanks.

I give thanks for Manager Tools. I started listening to the podcasts back in February, and while many good things (like a much less boring commute) have come from doing so, I'd like to highlight three.

1. My spirit was rejuvenated at a time when I was profoundly discouraged. Being a manager _can_ mean something.
2. I am a much better manager. I don't yet have the promotions or new roles that others have found, but I've survived extraordinary turmoil. And my team is more productive with higher morale.
3. I've found a community of dedicated professionals who want to make the world a better place to work. The M-T forums are filled with people who care, who strive, who really want to be the best - for themselves and their people.

Thank you all,

John
