I recommend Cliff Atkinson's "Beyond Bullet Points" to anyone who gives presentations, as an antidote to death by PowerPoint.

Stephen-

I agree. Beyond... is a GREAT book. The only reason I don't recommend it more regularly is that so many folks have limiting corporate cultures, or are literally just getting started. Someone with some guts, and who truly knows what they can get away with... this is a spot on book.

Thanks for posting! It reminded me how good it was.

Hi Mark,

I think that even if corporate culture dictates the use of bullet points, there are some vaulable points to take from this book:

- the three act story structure
- the use of a tree - derived form Barbara Minto's work, and very effective

People may be constrained by the requirement to use corporate templates, but there is still some mileage in ensuring a presentation is structured effectively.

Regards,

Stephen
