I have a choice between two different persons as my personal admin. One, is extremely accurate in job performance, but very slow. Slow enough that is slows down my production by about 30-40%. The other is speedy but makes errors. My production is still impacted by having to fix errors about 25% of the time. Which would you choose?

I am a high-ish C, so would prefer the more accurate one!

But looking at it another way, which one do you think is more receptive to development? If you feel that the speedy one is more likely to be able to become more accurate over time, with coaching and feedback, then choose that one instead.

Or toss a coin ;)
Good luck,
Jane

Neither.  Your admin is there to help you do your work more efficiently, and both of these people would cause you problems.  Keep interviewing.
Maura  (feeling particularly "High D" today)

Agree with Maura, unless you have been given the choice between two existing employees and no possibility of making your own (external) choice.
In that case, I choose the accurate one & coach her to go faster.  I'd rather trust the work is done right.  You can't see every error & knowing the speedy one already makes them, can you be sure you'll catch all her mistakes?  Been there, done that, terminated it.
Sometimes slowness is a lack of confidence, perhaps with MT you can get her production speed up.
The best choice is neither, but I'm in an org where this happens - another manager retires (leaves) and his admin is "up for grabs".  This person is owed a job by the org so "someone" has to take the admin.  Second thought, if you choose one, she can't perform, document, coach, encourage....do it all and then look to termination.
Feeling a little more I than Maura, but pretty D today too....
