Project Management - Health Care Manager

I don't see that my team is involved in projects.  Am I missing something?

I have 12 directs -- 10 are clinicians, two are support staff.  The majority of their day is spent treating patients.  Other than that, they handle documentation, screening for potential clients, and an occasional committee.  MT talks a lot about projects, project management, etc.  I don't see that we do that.  Am I not looking at it correctly.

For background, our key metrics are:

1. Profitability

2. Breakdown of service delivery to level of intensity (read more intense is better)

3. % of the population that utilizes our services / month

4. Customer Satisfaction

Thanks in advance

MD-144,
Thanks for the explanation.  The comparison to your wife's practice makes a lot of sense.  Every new client we get is in essence a project too.  I have weekly deliverables, and they are broken down into dailys for my directs.  Like you said, no reason to make any more out of it than that.  I had needed a frame of reference to put all of the PM advice in.  You have given that to me.
Thanks again,
Chris
