Hello All,

Has anyone attempted / cleared PMI ACP  (Agile certification)?? . If yes, how you have done the preparation like what books you have referred, courses you have gone through etc?? How many months / weeks preparation is required?

Appreciate your earliest response.

Regards,

Hi cokbasheer

I have started my PMI-ACP training – and have felt that it has been very good.
Hopefully I will be ready to take the exam before late Feb 2014.
We have just completed a 21 hours study group through the local PMI chapter, and although this was a small group ( 4 of us in total ) – I found it worthwhile ( as well as one of the requirements for the exam )
To supplement the study group – I have also been using online web based study, as well as a PMI-ACP study Guide book.
How much time has it taken me – well it’s been nearly a year since I started working towards completing enough project management ( agile ) hours – along with waiting until enough users from our local PMI chapter were interested.
The easy bit is done – now it’s time to knuckle down and study.
I have found the study process very good, and have been slowly implementing some of the tools and techniques into my work environment.
Good Luck with your prep and your studies.
Keep us informed with your progress.

Thanks,

I took the PMP cert from PMI last November. Boy was I glad I took a week-long boot camp before the test. It was quite challenging. The key was learning the "PMI way" of answering the questions. Regardless of past practices, what you think of as common sense, or best practices. The only answer is the PMI answer.
