Making a good impression through your voicemail

A couple of friends recently commented that my personal voicemail did not exactly have a lot of pop to it. :shock: Now that I have recovered from this feedback :P, does anyone have any thoughts about should and should not go into a voicemail recording? After all, if a recruiter or potential network addition contacts you and you can't pick up, you do want to make a positive first impression.
